I met Slick Rick!

I drew a show poster for a Slick Rick show in 2007. I hadn’t had the chance to meet him until a few months ago when he played a show in Boston. I was sort of nervous because he is a famous rapper/story teller. I’m just a tiny squirrelly girl that draws.

He was sitting on a couch in the VIP room at the venue. I walked over to him with a small handful of my posters and introduced myself. He looked at me, gently took my hand and kissed it. He was extremely nice and quite a gentleman! I gave him a framed print of the poster and he loved it! The show was great, and now I have a signed print! I gave the other signed prints to my friends.
