Yesterday, LAB, a gallery/apparel store in Boston, presented a series of show posters created by artists around the US and Canada. This event was connected to a show poster documentary that is being shown at The Museum Of Fine Arts this month. Artists included in the LAB poster show are as follows: Tofusquirrel, Gunsho, James Quigley, Jesse Ledoux, Jeff Kleinsmith, theMiracle5, Dan McCarthy, Nate Duval, Darren Pasemko, and Brian Butler. There was an open bar, beautiful art, and a great people!

HAPPY SUMMER!!!

The Adidas event was great! Luckily, I brought Nate Bellegarde (Image Comics artist) and Alessandro Echevarria (Illustrator) on board. They are good friends of mine, amazingly talented, and awesome company! We got way more pairs of sneakers drawn on than if it was just me. I met tons of fascinating people, writers, artists, photographers, musicians, art lovers, sneaker collectors etc. I would love to do a sneaker art event again some day. Oh, and my friend Dave (owner of Pizzeria Dante in Brookline) brought over free pizza for everyone!

Other than that, I’ve been working on tons of cool projects! I’m also preparing for 2 exciting live art events that I’ll be participating in. The first one is in August. It is a big art&music festival, and I’ll be doing a live drawing that will be projected on a giant screen while bands are playing. You’re invited!

Updates!

I went to the New York Comic Book Convention a few weeks ago and it was AMAZING! Not only did I get to meet talented artists and writers, I got a chance to spend quality time with a handful of my incredible friends! I’ve been making button packs, sticker packs, designs, business cards, etc. I’ve also been planning a mural and designing a set for a music video. Lots of stuff is on the way! I am excited about everything!

FAT CHUNK (robot anthology)

Today, I recieved this book in the mail! I contributed two pages, and it is thrilling to finally see it published! The whole book looks spectacular! I’m going to ask New England Comics to order some for their stores. At the moment, it is sold on Amazon.com. UPDATE: You can now get this book at New England Comics!

Mutual appreciation!

Almost one year ago today, one of my favorite musicians wrote to me, Sean Lennon, son of John Lennon and Yoko Ono. I had sent him a message complimenting his beautiful voice, and this was his unexpected reply:
Amazing
Music is one of my biggest loves/inspirations. I often listen to Sean as well as other talented musicians while I draw. This message is special to me, and every time I read it it makes me want to draw a 12 legged neon green tiki masked poisonous centipede with feathers long fangs and an overbite.
